Shaping New Career Pathways in Forestry Services

We are in the early stages of developing the Workforce Development Partnerships Apprenticeship Program, aimed at creating new career pathways in forestry services. This initiative will focus on addressing high-priority projects, such as hazardous fuels reduction, forest management, and more, while promoting workforce development and training.

An Opportunity to Contribute

As we plan and shape this program, we welcome conversations with individuals, partners, and organizations who are interested in helping us develop this exciting opportunity. We believe that this program has the potential to offer emerging career opportunities in the U.S. Forest Service, particularly for underrepresented communities.

Why This Program Matters

  • Career Development: The program will provide hands-on experience and training to support critical work in forestry services.

  • Equity Focus: We are committed to creating opportunities for all, especially in underserved areas.

  • Collaborative Approach: We’re looking to build this program through partnerships and input from stakeholders who share our vision for workforce development in forestry.
