Clean Energy Workforce Development Initiatives

Apprenticeships are a proven tool for recruiting and retaining skilled workers. IWSI America is part of a consortium that provides technical assistance to energy companies. Interest in apprenticeships is growing fast thanks to new incentives in the Inflation Reduction Act. Apprenticeship programs will help expand the clean energy workforce and build a pipeline of highly qualified talent.

The ACE (Apprenticeships in Clean Energy) network provides no-cost, high-quality technical assistance for employers and other potential sponsors throughout the process of designing, registering, implementing, and scaling Registered Apprenticeship programs aligned with national standards and industry-recognized credentials.

The Apprenticeships in Clean Energy Network

As a proud member of the Apprenticeships in Clean Energy (ACE) Network, IWSI America is excited to be working with the United States Department of Labor, the Interstate Renewable Energy Council and ten further experienced strategic partners, using the apprenticeship model to build occupational frameworks and registered apprenticeship programs for apprenticeable positions spanning the entire clean energy technology supply chain.

Expanding the scale of registered apprenticeship opportunities across the clean energy sector will help ensure the US has the skilled workers required to fully capitalise on the economic opportunities of the clean energy transition.
